Blokstok Street Fight Madness at FICCI Frames, March 25-26 2015, Mumbai, India
Blokstok Street Fight Madness competed for the “Frame Your Idea” prize at FICCI Frames, 2015, Mumbai (Bombay), India.
FICCI Frames was held on 25, 26 March, 2015 and is India’s premier Film and Animation Industry event and this year there was an animation/gaming category also in which our game “Blokstok Street Fight Madness” competed for various categories of prizes.
Bye Bye Nokia Store & Hello Opera Store
With a heavy heart it’s time to say bye bye to the Nokia store. The Nokia store- even for Java apps is being shut down.
And now that Microsoft owns the Nokia devices business- it has washed it’s hands off the Nokia store by passing on the baton to Opera – and now, the former Nokia store and the apps we published there will be migrated to the Opera app store.
Hopefully this process will be smooth- but lets see- till now there have been some speedbreakers with Opera software and it’s actions- and it remains to be seen whether the Opera App store will be even a fraction as successful as the erstwhile Nokia store which was once the Ovi store!
After publishing and showcasing our apps on Nokia store for many years – more years than we had thought we would- and more downloads than we originally dreamed- it is now time to say bye bye Nokia store and pray that the future be not too bad for the entire team Nokia which too I’m sure never dreamt they would see this day.
Darksun Tech wins Reliance GameHack Delhi 2015
HoHo v-nicee is all I can say!
Team Darksun Tech or rather the new fighting game we are making “Blokstok – Street Fight Madness” – has won GameHack Delhi 2015!
But this is just the start – because we believe our fighting game will make an impact as big as Tekken and Street Fighter and even bigger- and someday, people will use our game as the reference point and benchmark for fighting games on mobiles and PCs and TVs and more…

Darksun Tech Crosses 15 million downloads on Microsoft Devices Business’s “Nokia Store”!
The Font is big, because this is big news!
We have learnt a lot and lost a few and after all the sacrifices and hardwork- we finally cross 15 million downloads on the Nokia Store!
Thank you all in family and thank you all at team Nokia oops team former Nokia that’s now Microsoft Devices Business and most of all thank you God.
We are grateful and thankful that we’ve reached this milestone and we pray that we may be guided and blessed to reach still higher heights… and someday bring India onto the world map not just for games or for apps but for products in general and someday soon we will be the first true Indian products company!

We win Nokia Do-Good Hackathon!
Aha! So finally, we learn we have won or rather our app, Fuel Tracker- has won a prize in the Nokia Do-Good Hackathon- a hackathon where we had to build apps for Social Good, Environment etc.
It’s a great feeling – and our Fuel Tracker app truly is something I personally deeply wanted and deeply believed in.
Here’s hoping and praying that in the coming days users will like our app and we will get to take our app to even newer heights of success!

Yess, it’s true… and we have done it. Darksun Tech Crosses 9 Million Downloads on Nokia Store- and heading to our first 1 Crore Downloads!
For those who have never heard the term “1 Crore” – in Indian and Arabic numbers, 1 crore = 10 million downloads!
Lets see how soon we cross that.

We gonna win a bunch of Galaxy Note devices- once we get our app onto Samsung apps. This might be tough, because we’ve written our app using Qt/Android – a port in which I too have contributed in a small way. But let’s see how it goes!
